It just so happens that after I read Bea's comment from yesterday about reaching kids with our message I saw a New York Times article from today called " Where Little Chefs Learn the Art of Slicing and Dicing ," by Ann Farmer. Are the kids cooking monkey, cat, dog, alligator or turtle? But I bet anything doesn't go.

Alexander Mauskop New York, Nov. Cows, domestic sheep, chickens and many others would not survive if they were not raised for human consumption, protected from malnutrition, disease and predators. If we are not justified in eating mackerel ourselves, are we not also morally obligated to stop the slaughter brought on by the tuna?

Cats Are Still Public Enemy Number One, For Birds The New York Times and Tweety have it absolutely correct. It flies on. Not when we have but 400 to spare. Wicked, right?
