If so, campaign to ban the rodeo, for heaven's sake! Just be honest about your goal and campaign for it! But the HSUS is by no means an animal-rights organization; it is an animal welfare organization. Will the VHS support the rodeo if calf-roping is banned? That's what the ad would make me think.

For some people, it is inhumane to eat meat in any situation, no matter how well the animal is treated prior to and during slaughter. Livestock don’t contribute to campaigns, but agribusiness does.
