We tried yesterday to visit the Nekromanteio of Afyra , the very entrance of ancient Greek’s Hades, but the world of the dead was locked up (well, not really for renovation, but for further research and digging at this archeological site). I can still hear the gunshots and hope that the hunters really do shoot only the flying birds.

They are large passerines and research has shown them to be an ancient basal offshoot from the passerine tree (at approximately the same time as rockjumpers, were even placed in the same family until quite recently). According to the World Bank, up to 80 percent of Ghana’s forests had been destroyed by illegal logging by 2008.
