The eagle-owls of the genus Bubo are all called “Uhu“. As a rule of thumb, with quite a number of exceptions, if the species sports feathery ears and is not an eagle-owls, it’s an “Eule“. If you haven’t learned their specific vocabulary, you wouldn’t even understand what the heck two hunters are talking about.
