These photographic field guides are lovely to look at and easy to use, providing a variety of tools for species identification. It is Herperia comma, the skipper we call Common Branded Skipper, a smaller orange-brownish skipper with several white spots on its hindwings. I think British and American lepidopterists need to talk more.
