On December 20th, Americans voted online to raise funds for five national pet-related charities. Adopt A Pet: $43,800. AAHA Helping Pets Fund: $12,800. What an amazing early holiday present for the pups and kitties at these shelters! We got some great holiday news in our inbox this morning! Operation Baghdad: $32,400.

At an NYC puppy shelter a few weeks ago, my mind was just about made up when I met Chester – The cutest Lab puppy I’d ever seen. His large pouty eyes, silky fur-coat, and silly little paws on which he fumbled all over the hay-covered kennel, lured me in like a dog to a bone. Don’t let the dog eat your homework.
