From Purple Herons to Little Grebes to Red Kites , the spot also yielded a small group of Eurasian Spoonbills for the area highlight. After the castle we wound our way through the Black Forest where we were able to watch a pair of Eurasian Three-toed Woodpeckers foraged a few feet in front of us. I was not lead astray.
