Virgin Islands were not part of the ABA Area. Virgin Islands , focusing on the arguments that had been successfully made for the inclusion of Hawaii. Even a cursory analysis of any birding festival indicates that minorities are the rarities. Expanding the ABA Area would be a step in the right direction.

Smooth-billed Ani ( Crotophaga ani ) is a widespread and ubiquitous bird in disturbed grassy areas throughout much of the neotropics, including most of the Caribbean Islands. According to the Florida Breeding Bird Atlas, the first confirmed breeding record was in Miami in July of 1938. Diet is composed mostly of large insects.
