…so here’s a post about some birds at a spring. The spring the birds I’ll show you today is far from the seat of New Zealand’s government where I now work. It’s actually found in a wadi in the United Arab Emirates, in the mountains between Dubai and the Gulf of Oman.

The travel agent mentioned I had a 2 hour layover in Dubai, in the United Arab Emirates. I was flying Emirates and that was the hub. But I figured there had to be some birds there. So there would be some birding. The location was a good spot to see Arabian Oryx, a species I hoped to see but didn’t.
