The group is called WING-IT (Wildlife In Need Group In Tulsa) and is now part of Tulsa Audubon , a mutually beneficial partnership which furthers the goals of both. He was right; a cheerful, enthusiastic group of parka-clad people eventually arrived to watch slides, listen to tales of bird rescue and rehab, and buy some of my books.

That’s an old wives’ tale that says bird won’t take care of a baby bird with a human smell on it–not true at all. If you cannot find the nest or it’s too destroyed, do not try and raise a chick this young. Try to get it too another family group or contact a wildlife rehabber.
