Both of those sites allow you to enter your zip code or state and find someone nearby who has the state and federal permits that allows them to treat wild birds.

The Kentucky Ornithological Society and the Beckham Bird Club have both come out strongly against the hunting season. of Fish and Wildlife Commissioner Jon Gassett has indicated that if enough people write in protest, the proposed hunting season–due to start this December– will be reconsidered. This story comes from Emily Johnson, who is a sub-permittee for a licensed wildlife rehabilitator in Helena, Montana. Luckily Grace happened upon the scene, and like an avenging angel, broke up the circle, rescued the stunned bird, and called her mother. Unfortunately, his wing healed in a crooked arc, grounding him for life.
