The Ross Sea is the most productive stretch of water in the Southern Ocean, teeming with large predatory fish, whales, seals, penguins and other animals that form the last intact marine ecosystem on Earth. And I need you to vote for me and send me to Antarctica, so I could write wildlife blogs on Adélie Penguins and Leopard Seals.

We have loved seeing places that few people ever get to see, and learning about the interesting wildlife that lives there. We loved seeing penguins, whales, polar bears, and wolves. We loved it when the penguins jumped out of the water, and right onto a camera man! Some of it is quiet funny as well.

I'm finally getting caught up on some reading and came across this article in the Defenders of Wildlife wildlife. We tend to talk about penguins and polar bears, but these guys are important too. I'm very proud of supporting Defenders because I think they do great work and they have a really good magazine too.
