Week 31: Visits to Hart Mountain, Malheur and the surrounding areas.

Two full days at Hart Mountain Wildlife Refuge, three days at Dog Lake, and a short visit to Upper Cottonwood Lake brought back many great memories, in addition to a nice list of birds. Then, to finish the week, we visited the famous, and not necessarily for all the right reasons, Malhuer Wildlife Refuge. The bunny got away.

. * In 2003, police in Warwickshire, England, opened a garden shed and found a whimpering, cowering dog. Geoff and the other sanctuary staff went to work with two aims to restore the dog to full health, and to win her trust. But she is like that with all of our animals, even the rabbits. But Jasmine had other ideas.
