Do you really need to have Kai’s birding experience further detailed not just by month but a level below? While the species favors forested hills at moderate elevations ( source ), there are no hills at all here at Nanhui, so maybe these individuals are outcasts or just eccentrics. Yes, you do, trust me. Cultures that experience it generally put a holiday of some sort at the end to motivate people to even bother living through it. There’s some excitement in putting up feeders and in discovering which species are gracing us with big invasions this year (2011, Montana: Snowy Owls ) but much of the time its a slog.

Conversely, parts of the world that have traditionally been quite dry may experience more rainfall. That said, there are many species we should be extremely concerned about. The Pika’s story is shared with a number of montane bird species. Though they breed on the tundra, Pomarine Jaegers spend most of their lives at sea.

It’s a Bald Eagle, a hawk. The publication of this new title is again an occasion for excitement (how can you can you not get excited when looking at photographic layouts like the one of Bald Eagles shown above?) Families do not hike up mountains to sit all day on pointy rocks to watch woodpeckers.

And, in a tree off to the right in that direction, I noticed a mass of stuff that resembled a Bald Eagle’s nest as much as any mass of stuff ever could, but of course, it was not a bald eagle nest. This make sense in a certain way; a species of carnivores that over-concentrated in space would go extinct.
