Yesterday's " Do Small Victories Affect Big Picture in Animal Rights Debate? A famous Ottawa restaurant removed foie gras from its menu after being pressured by activists. The removal of foie gras came after "months of nasty, anonymous phone calls, insulting e-mails, and noisy demonstrations outside.

And frankly, I'm not sure these chefs have the training to do anything that doesn't involve a baby animal. Today, I've seen an elimination challenge involving snails and foie gras. The main challenge involves frog legs, rabbits, live lobsters (still moving) and other animals. Tags: exotic meats meat cooking.

Here in Seattle, NARN (Northwest Animal Rights Network) has been staging protests at a local restaurant that serves foie gras. In addition, back in 2004, Governor Schwarzenegger signed a bill making foie gras illegal starting in 2012. Tags: animal cruelty california foie gras food.
