In mid-December, I was birding along the Beljarica levee (Beh-LYAH-ritza), my local patch north of Belgrade, when something other than birds attracted my attention: three wild boars , appearing all black because they had just swam through the swamp to reach the bottom of the levee. I think all were males, at last two huge ones certainly were.

However, we did note signage that said if you travelling with an animal you would have to pay for twelve passengers and travel alone with your animal! There are also wild boars and macaque monkeys and you are advised to not rustle plastic bags, because they associate the noise with food.

Tadoba Andhari Tiger Reserve: the Tiger Afternoon

On her own, two months ago, she took down a big, old and experienced Indian Boar , who already had some old tiger claw scars. Considering the fact that her lake lies conveniently close to the Moharli Gate, I suppose Telia would be the biggest earner of all the animals of Tadoba. These are my first wild tigers ever!

Code, Title 18.48, made it a federal crime to knowingly create, sell, or possess a depiction of animal cruelty with the intention of placing that depiction in interstate or foreign commerce for commercial gain. Is the NYTimes right to support striking down the law banning depictions of animal cruelty on First Amendment/free speech grounds?
