A couple of years ago I wrote about whether it's a good use of my time to be a purist about the term "animal rights" when most of the world doesn't have the same understanding of the term as I do. And then I read the "OMG!!!!!OED!!!!!LOL!!!!!"

While other people might trade barbs or even turn to fisticuffs, I'd dig deep for the most hurtful thing I could say, in the fewest words, and deliver it without even raising my voice. It comes from a desire to not waste time. Have they not ever observed nonhuman animals? We're all animals, aren't we? We're sentient.
