It seems both political parties do nothing for animals. Popular hunting magazines make animal rights groups like they're the bad guys. "We need to watch out for the ASPCA, the humane society, PETA, etc." I've gotten to the point where I don't even vote anymore. What are we to do?

Dan Richards, president of the California Fish and Game Commission, is shown in the photo, holding a mountain lion he reportedly hunted and killed in Idaho, according to Western Outdoor Press, which published the photo. Hunting mountain lion is legal in Idaho, but illegal in California. KCRA 3 could not reach Richards for comment.

A declawed, defanged bear is chained to a stake as hunting dogs bark and snap, trying to force the bear to stand on its hind legs. Animal rights advocates say it's cruel to the nearly defenseless bears and harms them psychologically. Statutes banning animal fighting have a specific exemption for dog training.
