It's titled "The Animal Activists' Handbook: Maximizing Our Positive Impact in Today's World" by Matt Ball and Bruce Friedrich. One guy runs Vegan Outreach and the other is a VP at PETA (they have those?). Here's a review on Huffington Post. Looks like it has some interesting ideas.

On "Cheating" and Cookbook Authors

Recommendations included: know the people who produced your food, get out of the supermarket (go to a farmer's market), and cook at home more (especially junk food, as if you had to make your own french fries you'd eat a lot fewer of them). You wouldn't expect Pollan or Oprah to deliver a vegan or animal rights message and they didn't.

Operation Nix-the-Petting-Zoo, Part Deux

Basically, it's for children who eat animals and their parents. And realistically, availability of a vegan burger isn't going to make me want to participate. At the very least, I can keep informed about the activities that are being chosen and always send a letter or comment at the meeting from the vegan perspective.
