ANIMAL rights groups have begun a campaign against the dairy industry's treatment of bobby calves. Animals Australia has a video on its website showing calves being roughly dragged off utes and thrown to the ground. Here's the full article from the Weekly Times Now.

Let's deconstruct: The heading is: "Okay, so your steak comes from a cow that lived a happy life--but how did that life end?" It's a cow who--who--lived an allegedly happy life. Interestingly, the campaigns of happy meaters are acknowledged for perhaps being somewhat of a scam with the next sentence. Potent if symbolic?

There is no philosophical continuum, but there is a psychological continuum, as evidenced by everyone at the workshop taking steps back or forward, denoting their increase in animal use (including no meat to meat, or backsliding, like I did a decade ago), or their decrease (such as when vegetarians go vegan).
