I chalked up 132 species in a pretty relaxed eight days, during which birds shared the agenda with culture. Ducks and herons include Garganey and Ferruginous Duck , Squacco and Purple Herons , as well as the Eurasian Spoonbill. 2 Baranda fish farm. Black Stork and three pairs of White-tailed Eagles breed here.

of Fish and Wildlife Commissioner Jon Gassett has indicated that if enough people write in protest, the proposed hunting season–due to start this December– will be reconsidered. Nationwide, wildlife watchers now outspend hunters 6 to 1. We can fight them back in Kentucky, too. Kentucky Dept. I overlooked the date.
