" On Atheism and Veganism " created what was for the most part a respectful, interesting discussion that brought up a couple of items I'd like to clarify or explore. First off, I began the post with, "For me, atheism and veganism go hand-in-hand." But in my vegan advocacy that's the perfect place to begin (or end).

On Fighting for "Animal Rights"

The rest of the animal advocacy community, which is the vast majority, who call themselves abolitionists, are abolitionists. It would be wonderfully dramatic to be able to say: I'm going to fight for animals rather than for language , but it's not that clear cut. And it usually involves exchanges with non-vegans.

I want to talk about why we shouldn't be using animals and that it's infinitely easier to be a vegan than it was 20 years ago. With more than 2 million members across the globe, PETA is the largest animal advocacy group and comparable in size to the human rights organization, Amnesty International.
