Monkey business is big business in the United States, where some people pay up to $5,000 to adopt a monkey of their own, often a capuchin monkey, which can grow up to 22 inches and 9 pounds. Who suffers? This is seriously weird stuff.

Abby, I too get very upset by stories and images of what occurs every second of every day to nonhumans and humans alike. The suffering in this world that occurs at the hand of humankind and is entirely intentional, is disgusting and dispiriting. I choose not to watch videos or bombard myself with images of suffering.

I don't frequently use photos, I rarely use video, and my posts are often long. If I had it all to do again, I'd do a video blog and I'd get at least proficient at the technical aspects. I understand the impulse to do " something " that alters the number of animals created to be used and killed and the suffering of the ones created.
