5K Run/Walk, Kid’s Fun Run and Adoption Celebration. Each year these groups combined, rescue and find homes for over 2,000 abandoned Southland dogs and cats, animals that most likely would otherwise have lost their lives. This means less dogs and cats can be saved. 4th ANNUAL “RACE FOR THE RESCUES” FUNDRASIER.

To the Editor: The euthanasia of more than 1,000 dogs and cats at the main animal shelter in Las Vegas is surely a major tragedy in the sheltering field (news article , Feb. Shelters across the country are required to hold animals to let owners reclaim lost pets.
