Let me tell you – I’ve met some street dogs who curl up with cats and babies, and I’ve met some pet dogs (like my human’s grandmother’s Chihuahua!) Perception is a tough nut to crack, but in adopting a street dog, you automatically create an ambassador. Look, I’m a pet now.

On May 5, 2010, I adopted a two-year-old poodle/terrier mix from our local shelter, Animal Allies. She came from another shelter as a stray, had been abused, was very skinny, and she was extremely shy and afraid of everyone. When I told them Angel’s name, they said it was definitely the perfect name for her.
