And Adoption Awareness Month. Here's my attempt to bring it all together in an Animal Person post. I am a vegan who has adopted a diabetic greyhound who eats vegan food ( Natural Balance ), and who is adopting a boy from Russia. Also, some countries that allow international adoptions have age cut-offs.

The vet did give me a hard time about the dogs' animal-free diets (my traditional vets don't, ironically), and my response was that unless she could show me some research that his particular type of injury needs animal protein to heal, I wasn't going to change anything. been there.

They are all wonderful people and they are all animal lovers. But I’ve learned we love animals in very different ways. I have mixed feelings about TNR. “Why can’t the kittens be adopted,” I asked in her comments section. On the one hand, it’s better than doing nothing with a feral cat colony.
