When you are an American expatriate who lives, and birds, in Mexico, it is a topsy-turvy world. But alas, my garden Wilsons have not been seen here on the 4th of April. I have still seen each of these species out in the forest between two days and three weeks after they abandoned my yard. That is a garden first!

Definitely NOT beep-beep

It is definitely not a “Road Runner” And it is definitely, certainly, absolutely not a Lesser Roadrunner , the roadrunner of choice for tropical Mexico and northern Central America. I have been lucky enough to see a few Greater Roadrunners in the Sonoran Desert, on both sides of the Mexico/U.S. Number 4 proves my point.
