Set in an abandoned oil refinery where wildlife is slowly regaining control save for the desperate attempts of golfers to retain all eighteen holes, industrial ghosts loom over rolling freshwater lakes bordered by fifty foot tall trees. Noisy Yellow-crowned Parrots indicated that it was time to stop the car and get out.

The next day we tried mist netting the cave entrance, and the day after I abandoned the project entirely. This has typically not been a problem as there isn’t generally a great deal to see in caves that isn’t a horrifying bug or a cave fish, and really, I’m fine not seeing them. I think we caught perhaps three bats.
