Each year these groups combined, rescue and find homes for over 2,000 abandoned Southland dogs and cats, animals that most likely would otherwise have lost their lives. Carrie Ann Inaba, star of ABC’s “Dancing with the Stars,” also returns to co-host the Race and is passionate about the cause of unwanted pets in our community.

Imagine the heart exploding with happiness that the beautiful pet you have supported and loved, has found forever love with a great family. The former could not be further from the truth. And the latter is selfish. Look at tail wag. Many shelter animals are down on their luck, and need a second chance. Fostering is a wonderful experience.

He asked me if he could get the kitten but I argued with him and told him that I know that Tj would hate it and I did not want her to feel unwanted. Mango is now nearly 3 and the whole family likes him. I don’t want her to pass away thinking that my neighbours are the ones that loved her the most and that I abandoned her.
