Birding the Bear Mountain of Serbia

We are in the Tara Mountain in western Serbia, ranging from 1,000-1,500 m / 3,000-5,000 ft above sea level. Okay, Brown Bears here are 90% vegetarians, but I don’t think it would be smart to call them that to their face. Usually, maize is on the menu, only occasionally carrion or dead trout from a nearby fish farm.
