On November 12, 2011, Banfield Pet Hospital hosted Brooklyn’s “Hottest Dog” contest to celebrate the grand opening of the Banfield Pet Hospital in Brooklyn. We didn’t get to attend in person, but it sure looks like it was a fun event. 12, 2011, in the Brooklyn borough of New York. Just look at these adorable dogs!

Identification tags—make sure there is a cell phone number on the tags in the event your pet gets lost. Medication—bring any prescription or non-prescription medication your pet is taking.

They were to be deployed to Ground Zero with 200 other members of New Jersey Task Force 1, including structural engineers and medical workers, as well as other search-and-rescue people. Since most civilian search-and-rescue people are volunteers, this puts a heavy burden on these citizens, who do this work out of the goodness of their hearts.
