In 2010, a joint expedition by the Bulgarian Society for the Protection of Birds (BSPB) and the Sudanese Wildlife Society (SWS) found a further 17 electrocuted Egyptian Vultures. Reasons for this situation are numerous. Up to now there have been almost 80 confirmed electrocuted Egyptian Vultures in that area.

Very little information was available at the time, so we hired a car and off we went, following the few tips we had managed to gather but mostly our noses. Although this park was logged in the past, as a national park it is one of the few forests in Ghana that is really protected. . million people (2010 census).
