In 2007 I was working in a university building that was just begging for bird feeders. Most of the images are of houses and buildings where window collisions occurred, the flight cages and framed windows used in Klem’s field experiments, and the many products and structural solutions that can be employed to eliminate window collisions.

He started working on Birds and People in January 2007, according to the book’s web site, and the project ultimately took six years. Cocker put out a call for people’s personal experiences with birds and people responded, over 600 people, most of who are credited in the Acknowledgements section.

So, yes, here is the March 2007 record of the first Loggerhead Kingbird that I saw in Key West and there is the second record of Greater Sand Plover, a bird I saw on Little Talbot Island, Florida in May 2009. by Steve N.
