Three endangered Malayan tiger cubs were born at Busch Gardens Tampa Sunday, March 31. These births are critical to help preserve the species. These newborn cubs will add to the genetic diversity of the Malayan tiger population and contribute to conservation efforts for the species. Malayan tigers are critically endangered.

Busch Gardens Tampa Bay welcomes its seventh baby white rhino since 2004. Busch Gardens participates in the Association of Zoos and Aquariums (AZA) Species Survival Plan (SSP) to ensure genetic diversification among threatened and endangered animals in zoological facilities. Busch Gardens Tampa Bay welcomed a new baby reticulated giraffe just days ago. Mother and baby are currently in an area out of guest view so they can be closely monitored by zoo staff to ensure the baby is nursing and growing properly. The addition brings Busch Gardens’ giraffe population to 15.
