Three endangered Malayan tiger cubs were born at Busch Gardens Tampa Sunday, March 31. Each cub weighs between six and seven pounds, and is currently being monitored around the clock by the park’s animal care team. These births are critical to help preserve the species. The litter consists of two males and one female.

Busch Gardens Tampa Bay welcomes its seventh baby white rhino since 2004. Busch Gardens participates in the Association of Zoos and Aquariums (AZA) Species Survival Plan (SSP) to ensure genetic diversification among threatened and endangered animals in zoological facilities.

Busch Gardens Tampa Bay welcomed a new baby reticulated giraffe just days ago. Mother and baby are currently in an area out of guest view so they can be closely monitored by zoo staff to ensure the baby is nursing and growing properly. The duo will join the other animals on the Serengeti Plain in a few months.
