It is estimated that the amount of grain fed to cattle and hogs in the United States in 1971 was twice that of U.S. Nobody wants existing animals to be slaughtered. In 1974 we shipped four times as much food to Cambodia and South Vietnam as to starving Bangladesh and Swahelian Africa.
