It seems like the answer to most questions/responses to most issues is one of these: Speciesism. Why choose enslavement, rape, domination and slaughter? Yes, it is hypocritical (speciesism), but who said that we either protect humans or animals? It's not difficult once you get the hang of it--it's just different at first.
