As a breed, pit bulls have a bad rap. Many shelters do not intake pit bulls at all, and many of the shelters that do find themselves limited in their intake by state regulations or their own policies that dictate pit bull capacity. Evaluate the Pit Bull before Doing Anything.

One day while I was volunteering I met a little pit bull puppy who was recovering from a spaying. I believe that a feral may never be a lap cat and they may never even let you pet them. I rejoined my local animal shelter's volunteer program a few months ago (long story as to why I quit in the first place).

Except for the poor pit bulls, street dogs are about the most vilified canines on the planet. Let me tell you – I’ve met some street dogs who curl up with cats and babies, and I’ve met some pet dogs (like my human’s grandmother’s Chihuahua!) Look, I’m a pet now. Yup, I was rescued in Africa.
