When taking the issue to simplest common denominator, spaying/neutering is essentially exercising human dominance over non-human animals. From the feral cats of Project Treadstone to Charles' back surgery to problems with Violet's Vetsulin (insulin for dogs), we had more than our share of issues. As for Project Treadstone, after several false starts, trapping, spaying and neutering will resume next week. But we owe it to them to do our best.
