It's a TLC show about humans that adopt monkeys and treat them as their children. Monkey business is big business in the United States, where some people pay up to $5,000 to adopt a monkey of their own, often a capuchin monkey, which can grow up to 22 inches and 9 pounds. This is seriously weird stuff. Remember Travis?

When I emerged from my bedroom I learned what you, no doubt, as a regular reader have already deduced – it was the now-infamous “Eagle Steals a Baby” hoax video. Joking aside, the instant viral popularity of this video seems to me to be speaking to some deep-rooted fears in the human psyche.

USHS Alleges Animal Abuse at the University of Louisiana New Iberia Research Laboratory

They have video. The video footage shows monkeys biting themselves and slamming against the bars of small cages. I couldn't get the video to work for some reason. Actually, it's more then allegations. It is the nation’s largest primate research lab that studies chimpanzees. Here is a link to the Humane Society.
