I particularly question the use of chimpanzees in medical research. I do not claim to have the answer, but I think it is certainly worthwhile to raise the question: Why, exactly, all over the civilized world, in virtually every major city, are apes in prison? One of the issues raised by a member was that we need to listen to "science" more and that science will save us. I raised the point that science does not solve everything.
