On Trinidad, the banks of the largest rivers are never more than a stone’s throw apart. Driving slowly along the entrance road to the lodge we came upon a lone Marail Guan dabbling in the leaf litter nearby. As an islander, the river crossing was truly remarkable. Go owling, naturally!
