Did you see that Newsweek editor David Noonan went vegan (see " I Can't Believe I'm Still a Vegan ")? He clearly needs a bit of encouragement as he finds it "sort of a pain in the ass. And kind of boring, too." But congratulations to Noonan for doing it and writing about it and sticking with it!

In " 'Animal Rights:' Pernicious Nonsense for Both Law & Public Policy ," Massachusetts attorney and "sportsman" Richard Latimer is on the mark with some concepts, and way off with others. It's too bad that Latimer's presentation is so obnoxious, as even when he raises what might be valid points, he makes you want to disagree with him.

Would the blood drinker be sinning against the principles of lactovo moral vegetarianism or just the principles of vegan moral vegetarianism? Suppose someone enjoys drinking the blood of cattle and hogs.

This brings up the question of how one can distinguish between what is forbidden by lactovo moral vegetarianism and vegan moral vegetarianism. Since animals cannot be judged morally praiseworthy or blameworthy, the question of whether it is morally wrong for them to eat meat cannot be raised. KBJ: Martin cannot be serious.
