This summer Lisa raised three orphaned Common Ravens. They were not aware of wildlife laws, and thought they could raise and release them. We decided to raise them, and hoped they would wild up quickly if we followed the protocol for avoiding imprinting. But this one was a bit different.

Talking Starlings

In areas where starlings are introduced, the laws for keeping them as pets are relaxed. The woman in the video found it as a chick at a few days old and hand reared it. The bird is now bonded to humans and an ambassador to her class and the bird has quite the vocabular y. This is not the first talking European Starling on YouTube.
