New England Reptile Distributers just released a video explaining a terrible incident involving the FWC (Florida Fish and Wildlife Conservation Commission). FWC officers arrived at a reptile facility and forcefully killed 29 reticulated pythons, 5 Burmese pythons, and 1 pregnant Boa constrictor.

The rodents eat the bait, stagger out of the building looking for water, and are easy prey for whatever carnivore happens to be passing by, be it wildlife or someone’s pet. A poisoned rodent can kill whatever eats it, and death by poison is a very bad way to go. Need an example of “hypocrisy?”

Also at Parade , which reader morganna alerted me to, is " Should Apes Be Allowed as Pets? The Fish and Wildlife Commission and Governor Crist need to hear there is an outcry in order for Nosey to be confiscated. I know most schools have video cameras in the media center that are used for announcements. which includes a poll.
