Barb looked like the kind of woman who would own a pit bull or a German shepherd. Then I noticed that several family members were also nursing bleeding wounds. I felt so sorry for the poor thing—we had to call our vet out to sedate him—so I decided to take him home as a foster. I swore and jumped back.
