Grief in magpies and red foxes: Saying goodbye to a friend. I also watched a red fox bury her mate after a cougar had killed him. He also rescued birds who flew into our windows and, on one occasion, a bird who’d been caught and dropped in front of my office by a local red fox. Is this moral? Photo by Paul Huber.
