As you’ll remember, Kentucky’s Department of Fish and Wildlife Resources unanimously passed its sandhill crane hunting proposal. Fish and Wildlife Service for final approval or denial. Here are six top reasons to protest this hunt. All eight hunters on the commission think it’s a good idea to shoot cranes in Kentucky.

The animal rights movement is (rightly) closely associated with protesting things like factory farming, dogfighting, etc…basically, the mistreatment of animals. Yes, of course it is too bad that so many animals (most often rats, mice and rabbits) have to be killed. This makes perfect sense. The logic of this is ridiculous.

of Fish and Wildlife Commissioner Jon Gassett has indicated that if enough people write in protest, the proposed hunting season–due to start this December– will be reconsidered. Kills in Canada, Alaska and Mexico are not included in the count. Kentucky Dept. I overlooked the date. My letters went out today!
