When I looked at lists of birds allowed for falconry in Minnesota years ago, I asked some of my falconer friends, “Really, owls?” I enjoy falconry, it’s not merely a sport or hobby, it is a lifestyle. They know how to trap raptors and if something is interesting nearby, they will try to band it for research.
