There's no remotely vegan or even vegetarian (though I'm not even sure what the latter would look like) message. Film is a visual medium and through direction, dialogue, editing, music and any effects, the filmmaker presents (in this case) his agenda. And then the way we eat causes diabetes.

In his fresh and candid first post (available here ), Jonathan admitted that he is struggling with the issue of ethical vegetarianism. Over 95% of all animals raised for food in the U.S. Is it necessary for us to kill animals for food? Or are we killing animals unnecessarily when we kill them for food?
